Fruit And Berries Hybrids

These agricultural wonders are created in different countries, and are now brought to the global market. The new fruit varieties are taking their place in world fruit export.

Grapple fruit is a cross between  grapes and apple. It tastes like grapes and looks like apple. It has been specially made to taste like grape but to have the shape of an apple.


Pineberry  is a  combination of special strawberry grown in Hawaii and the common strawberry. Pineberries are not so big as usual strawberries and have pineapple flavor.




Tangelo is a hybrid of a tangerine and either a pomelo or grapefruit. Tangelos don't have the bitterness of grapefruit, they are juicy and fresh.

  

Oroblanco is a hybrid between  a pomelo and a white grapefruit. Its taste is weet and mild, less bitter than a grapefruit.  


Plumcots are the hybrids between a plum and an apricot.  The fruit has a special sweet and fresh taste.




Tayberry is a combination of a blackberry and a red raspberry, They have a sweet-tart flavor and high levels of pectin.


Peacotum is a hybrid between peach, apricot and plum. It has the texture of a peach and tastes like a mix of plum and apricot.




Rangpur is a cross between  a Mandarin orange and lemon. It tastes bitter and is quite acidic that's why can be used as a substitute for limes.

The country is classed as agriculturally self-sufficient. This means that it does not rely on other countries for food imports.

 Vegetable production is the leading sector of Turkish agriculture and vegetal perishables constitute the backbone of the sector. The availability of diverse ecological conditions has resulted in growing all temperate, most subtropical and some tropical products.

Turkish fruit exports jumped 16 percent between 2012 and 2013; grapes were the highest exported fruit from Turkey.
