Indonesia is situated between the Indian and
Pacific oceans. It is the world's largest island country, with more
than 17000 islands, the largest being Sumatra, Java, Bali,
Kalimantan, Sulawesi, the Nusa Tenggara islands, the Moluccas
Islands, and Irian Jaya.
The economy of Indonesia is the 16th largest in the world
according to its GDP. The country supplies 20 % of the world's tin
and is rich in copper, nickel, gold and coal resources.
