The Italian lemon harvest in Tamaulipas starts in 30 days. Tamaulipas is expected to export more than 30 thousand tons of these fruits to different markets, such as the United States of America and Europe.
The Italian lemons produced by Tamaulipas had strengthened in world markets, as in the previous period they had achieved selling 28 thousand tons of this product. Exports continue to increase, which allows Tamaulipas to become the main exporter of this product in the international market.
Italian lemons have excellent quality and a great value because of the importance it generates in the specialized markets where it is sent, mainly to the United States.
The economic spill generated by lemon exports strengthened the generation of new jobs in the state, as well as the modernization of the agricultural and value-added practices required for the certification demanded by this agricultural food sector.
